As styling trends come and go, it appears the wise old saying that 'everything comes back around full circle', is infact true. Rustic styling embodies this, using all things that were once deemed 'fashionable'; old furniture, mismatched place settings, vintage knick knacks and re-purposed wood.
Rustic styling provides a natural look, using earthy tones and warm textures to pull together any space. Whilst providing a relaxed feel, rustic elements create a special link to the past which can give any space an abundance of character.
Rustic styling was used to transform The Woolshed for a recent wedding. Three long tables ran the length of the room with hessian runners, vintage lace and simple flower arrangements by Avonlea lining the tables. The groom made the large LOVE sign from recycled wood and corrugated tin panels. Positioned along the lake, it made the perfect backdrop for picturesque photos.
A recent desert bar styled at The Woolshed. The rustic styling of the event was continued through into the desert table, with tree stumps and wooden boards used as serving platters. The decadent desserts included passion fruit meringues, lemon and raspberry slice and individual tiramisu jars. Desert bars are the perfect accompaniment as they can be styled to fit any space.
